On 21 August 2019, the inaugural ceremony of “The Greater Bay Area 5G Industry Alliance” (The Alliance) was held in the Hong Kong Science Park. HSUHK is a founding member of The Alliance, and representatives of HSUHK attended the ceremony.
The Alliance is a non-profit organization composed of operators, industry-leading companies, social organizations, academic researchers and 5G-related enterprises that participate in a mutually beneficial community aiming to develop the 5G industrial chain. The Alliance was founded to advance innovative development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and to establish the region as an international center of technological innovation.
The Alliance aims to be a supporter of Hong Kong’s 5G development and smart city construction, and also to build a more comprehensive 5G+ industry chain. As a founding member, HSUHK will fully engage to facilitate The Alliance to achieve the objectives. HSUHK will collaborate with The Alliance in conducting high-level academic researches, nurturing talents, as well as holding forums, research workshops and conferences in the future.
