Speaker: Dr Jacob Kam Chak-pui, CEO, MTR Corporation Limited

Dr Jacob Kam is the CEO of MTR Corporation Limited. He joined the Company in 1995 and had held various management positions in the Operations, Projects and Mainland China and International Business Divisions. He was appointed as the CEO in 2019. Before that, Dr Kam was the Operations Director and the Managing Director – Operations and Mainland Business. He has been a Member of the Executive Directorate since 2011. As the CEO, Dr Kam is responsible for all performance of the Company and its group companies, both in and outside Hong Kong. Dr Kam is the chairman, board of directors, and council members in various organizations, e.g. the Regional and Suburban Railways Division of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), HKQAA Governing Council, Community Chest of Hong Kong, HKGCC, and HKMA. Dr Kam qualified as a Chartered Engineer in the UK. He holds various committees and members in professional associations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, and a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of London, both in the United Kingdom.
